N° 210 details

This famous, classic British ankle boot can trace back its roots to 1837. That was the year in which Joseph Sparkes Hall, royal shoemaker to Queen Victoria herself, developed this ankle-height boot with a low heel and rounded toe. Over the centuries, the Chelsea boot gained widespread popularity as a unisex model, cherished by men and women alike.

Goodyear-welted women’s Chelsea boot in dark brown

From the very beginning, Chelsea boot design has been defined by the elastic inserts at either side of the shoe. These, combined with the pull tab at the heel, make this women’s ankle boot very easy to put on and take off. Goodyear-welted and handcrafted in our Spanish factory, No. 210 boasts a dark brown shaft made entirely of fully-dyed calfskin. This dark brown women’s Chelsea boot does not feature any kind of decoration, save for a decorative double seam running beneath the elastic inserts and descending vertically to the bottom of the shoe. This seam subtly loosens up the clean lines of the shoe’s design.

The Chelsea boot, an ankle boot with a tapering last, has the Beatles to thank for its enduring popularity. These pop legends loved to perform in their Chelsea boots, spawning a fashion trend that is still going strong. No. 210 is a truly versatile shoe. This women’s Chelsea boot in dark brown pairs well with jeans for a casual look as well as with a skirt or a dress for a classically feminine outfit.

Ankle Boot

Ankle Boot

Ankle boots feature a short shaft that extends about 3 to 5 centimetres above the ankle. As such, they are more robust than classic low-rise shoes. Ankle boots also offer feet better protection than that offered by low-rise shoes, particularly during inclement weather conditions.

Classic Last

Classic Last

Subtly narrows at the front of the shoe. Features an elegantly rounded toe and a slightly elevated instep arch. The marked rise of the toe from the ground and the average-width middle portion of the shoe ensure wearing comfort. Ideal for average and high insteps.

French Calf

French Calf

This shoe’s upper boasts premium, medium-soft calfskin. The technical term for this type of leather is ‘French calf.’ This type of leather is known for its flexibility, fine texture, and soft grain.

Antique Finish

The upper has been fully-dyed dark brown, while an intricate finish at the toe lends a final decorative touch. This special refinement at the tip of the shoe imbues the leather with a darkly gleaming shimmer.

Rendenbach Sole

Rendenbach Sole

For the past 140 years, Rendenbach has used oak bark tanning to produce leather soles—the process can take up to nine months. These soles are renowned for their extreme durability and natural water repellency. Women’s shoes with Rendenbach soles are a real novelty.

General information about our women's shoe collection

The gold standard when it comes to shoe manufacturing. Goodyear welting is a painstaking process that involves stitching the shaft and outsole to a thin strip of leather. Shoes made this way are extremely stable, durable, breathable, and easy to repair.

Mass-produced shoes are glued together on assembly lines. All of our premium, full-leather shoes, on the other hand, are handcrafted to the finest standards of quality. You can see and feel the difference.

Full-Leather Shoes

Full-Leather Shoes

The high quality of these shoes is reflected in their high leather content. Their uppers, lining, insoles, and outsoles are made from the finest leather. They even have leather heels, made by painstakingly stacking thin layers of leather on top of one another.

These shoes consist of roughly 65 separate parts. They took about 210 steps to assemble. We rely upon premium materials and traditional production methods to ensure that our footwear is of the absolute highest quality.

This shoe boasts a high proportion of leather, and has been assembled without the use of adhesive bonding—both of these factors ensure proper air circulation and prevent moisture from penetrating the surface. Dry, well-ventilated feet are healthy feet.

Delivery Content

Of course, our focus is on your new pair of shoes. But to underline our passion for our products, we enclose a few extras in your shipment. We hope that sparks your excitement about your new footwear.

Our passion for our products is reflected in their packaging. All of our shoes come in an elegant black shoebox emblazoned with the logo. Said shoebox is easy to open, thanks to a special opening on the side, and comes with a note on our philosophy.

Shoe Bag

Shoe Bag

These shoes come stored inside two shoe bags, packed into a shoebox. Shoe bags are a great way to maintain their condition—they protect your footwear from soiling and scratching. They also let you transport your shoes in style.

Made in EU

While most of our peers in the shoe industry are still unable to guarantee shoes that are »made in the EU«, we’re able to prove that our shoes are just that. We use leather from France and Germany, manufacture our shoes in Spain, and run distribution and logistics in Germany—our shoes are 100% made in Europe.

Environmentally sustainable

For many companies, all that matters are the profits; they fail to take notice of the disastrous conditions under which hides are taken in Bangladesh, or shoes are manufactured in China. We turn instead to traditional European tanneries and Spanish craftsmanship, to the benefit of man and nature alike.

Our promise: since you’re purchasing directly from the manufacturer, you’re spared the typical high margins. You’re also spared the additional cost of paying for a brand name. Thanks to our advantageous wide reach and our low cost structure, we’re able to offer sensationally low prices.

From the provenance and treatment of the leather we use, to the conditions in our Spanish factory, to delivery with our logistics partner, we don’t leave any stone unturned. We provide copious, transparent information on every step in our supply chain.

Our team was founded by a pair of shoe lovers, and each and every employee focuses on satisfying our shoe-loving customers. Whether it’s graphic design, sales, marketing, editorial, or customer service, we handle all aspects of our business internally, ensuring our total control over all processes. We’re also owner-managed.

Your feedback

Your opinion is important to us; that’s how we define our business. If you’d like to express your satisfaction with our products and services, let us know. You can read reviews from other customers as well as experts in the shoe industry on the site. Your satisfaction is our top priority!

The values we live by

Lots of brands are quick to conceal the production methods behind their products, as well as the origins of the materials they use. We, on the other hand, have nothing to hide. From the very beginning, our products have been »Made in the EU«, in the classic sense. As such, we treat both our fellow man and the natural environment in a way that’s ecologically sustainable and ethically responsible. Each step on our supply chain is entirely transparent for you to see—that’s a promise we’re happy to stand by.
