Properly cared-for footwear is an essential calling card for any fashion-conscious man. But it should not be a huge effort. Simply make sure you have the right products, which guarantee the best results and your shoe upkeep will become routine. In our Shoe Care Collection we focus on essential products and offer only accessories that you really need. The shoe care market can be baffling at times and it is our goal to provide valuable, easy-to-understand advice for customers.

Easy shoe care with a few rules

There are only a few rules that are indispensable for proper shoe care. That begins with your foot’s entry into and exit form the shoe. Use of a shoehorn for slipping shoes on is highly recommend, as it prevents the damage to your counter-cap. Meanwhile for the exit, do bend down and use your hand or a boot-jack. Furthermore, inserting shoetrees into your shoes between wear will go a long way to protecting the leather, stitching and soles from damage. They also absorb moisture and salts, which can help reduce cracking and deterioration.

Every two weeks your shoes should be cleaned. First, scrub off any particles of dirt and dust from the leather upper. Then after cleaning the shoe, rub a small amount of shoe cream into the shoe until the entire shoe has been covered. After a couple of minutes, remove any remaining cream as the leather will only absorb what it can. Then begin shining the shoes with a soft cotton rag. Any rag will do, as long as it is soft and made of cotton. Every half-year it is also worthwhile using a special oil for the leather sole. By providing a breathable barrier against mild to moderate wet conditions and dirt, this type of waterproofing product ensures a long lifetime for your shoes.

Regular shoe care ensures durability

Treating your shoe leather in this way can protect it against both wetness and scratches, whilst also warding off stubborn stains. Like most shoe care, it does not have to be complicated than that. In the end, regularly cleaned and conditioned shoes last much longer.

In our Shoe Care Collection you will find high quality products that will turn your shoe care into a everyday routine und help you to keep your favourite shoes looking good and almost new. Nothing compares to a pair of clean and shiny men’s shoes.
