With this trainer model, each and every shoe is truly one of a kind. This is thanks to the unique grain that can be found on the toe cap and tongue of the shaft. On closer inspection, this detailing is also exactly what makes it clear that this is not just a conventional leather. The secret? A by-product that fully satisfies all the criteria for sustainability: the leaf of the elephant ear plant, also known as the Alocasia Macrorrhiza. With its leather-like properties, this material offers the wearer a high degree of breathability without compromising on visual appeal.

Model No. 100 MS is based on a classic cut similar to that of a traditional tennis shoe. The side sections of this trainer are made from a vegan imitation leather, which inspires with its matte look. The dual-colored models are particularly eye-catching, while the completely black version also impresses with its tone-on-tone style. The highly comfortable sole is made partly from algae while organic cotton was chosen for the inner lining and laces. These sustainable trainers are part of our "Berlin N91" collection and are available as a limited edition. The uniqueness of every single shoe is reflected in the numbering on the upper. We have only commissioned a total of 150 pairs of these exclusive shoes for both men and women, to be produced in Portugal. Each of them is a unique piece and displays the proof of this on its vegan upper leather.

‘Trainer’ is a catchall term that refers to athletic shoes. These types of shoes were first produced in America, in 1860. Known for their flexible rubber soles, these comfortable shoes were originally created for track and field events, the requirements of which continue to influence trainer design. Trainers have been popular since the 1960s, and are worn on an everyday basis. Today they are available in all kinds of forms and colours—the trainers in our collection, for instance, are special, premium models.

Trainer Last

Trainer Last

The trainer last is very similar to the sporty last — it also ensures wearing comfort at the ball of the foot. This type of last is distinguished by a gently rounded toe cap, flat instep and roomy overall width. Suitable for average-width feet.

Vegan Leather

Vegan Leather

The finish on the upper features an impressive grain, partly due to the use of the leaf of the "Alocasia Macrorrhiza", or elephant ear plant. It grows all year round on the banks of rivers and forests in Brazil. The individual leaves are collected here after they fall, and are then dried and colored. This natural product does not compete for its habitat and, thus, represents complete sustainability.

Vegan Sole

Vegan Sole

A certified share of algae from Bloom is in the sole of our vegan sneakers. Bloom works with shoe manufacturers around the world to use natural resources to create sustainable materials. 26 litres of clean water are generated for our soles and 17 m3 of CO2 is collected and bound. This helps to preserve healthy ecosystems.

Gestrobelte Machart

Strobel construction

This style of construction is particularly well suited to trainers and other sports shoes as it gives the shoe a high degree of flexibility. During production the insole is sewn directly to the upper, without a lasting fold, and the outsole is then attached directly to the fabric. When removing the insole, the characteristic Strobel seam can be seen clearly.

Mass-produced shoes are glued together on assembly lines. All of our premium, full-leather shoes, on the other hand, are handcrafted to the finest standards of quality. You can see and feel the difference.

Delivery Content

Of course, our focus is on your new pair of shoes. But to underline our passion for our products, we enclose a few extras in your shipment. We hope that sparks your excitement about your new footwear.

Our passion for our products is reflected in their packaging. All of our shoes come in an elegant black shoebox emblazoned with the logo. Said shoebox is easy to open, thanks to a special opening on the side, and comes with a note on our philosophy.

Shoe Bag

Shoe Bag

These shoes come stored inside two shoe bags, packed into a shoebox. Shoe bags are a great way to maintain their condition—they protect your footwear from soiling and scratching. They also let you transport your shoes in style.

Shoe Care Guide

Shoe Care Guide

Goodyear-welted shoes last far longer than mass-produced models. A dedicated cleaning and care routine is an indispensable part of keeping your shoes in mint condition. An introductory guide to shoe care is included with your order.

Made in EU

While most of our peers in the shoe industry are still unable to guarantee shoes that are »made in the EU«, we’re able to prove that our shoes are just that. We use leather from France and Germany, manufacture our shoes in Spain, and run distribution and logistics in Germany—our shoes are 100% made in Europe.

Environmentally sustainable

For many companies, all that matters are the profits; they fail to take notice of the disastrous conditions under which hides are taken in Bangladesh, or shoes are manufactured in China. We turn instead to traditional European tanneries and Spanish craftsmanship, to the benefit of man and nature alike.

Our promise: since you’re purchasing directly from the manufacturer, you’re spared the typical high margins. You’re also spared the additional cost of paying for a brand name. Thanks to our advantageous wide reach and our low cost structure, we’re able to offer sensationally low prices.

From the provenance and treatment of the leather we use, to the conditions in our Spanish factory, to delivery with our logistics partner, we don’t leave any stone unturned. We provide copious, transparent information on every step in our supply chain.

Our team was founded by a pair of shoe lovers, and each and every employee focuses on satisfying our shoe-loving customers. Whether it’s graphic design, sales, marketing, editorial, or customer service, we handle all aspects of our business internally, ensuring our total control over all processes. We’re also owner-managed.

Your feedback

Your opinion is important to us; that’s how we define our business. If you’d like to express your satisfaction with our products and services, let us know. You can read reviews from other customers as well as experts in the shoe industry on the site. Your satisfaction is our top priority!

The values we live by

Lots of brands are quick to conceal the production methods behind their products, as well as the origins of the materials they use. We, on the other hand, have nothing to hide. From the very beginning, our products have been »Made in the EU«, in the classic sense. As such, we treat both our fellow man and the natural environment in a way that’s ecologically sustainable and ethically responsible. Each step on our supply chain is entirely transparent for you to see—that’s a promise we’re happy to stand by.
