Visit nowStylish men’s socks are an essential for the modern gentleman. After all, what would a Goodyear-welted, full-leather shoe be without a suitable sock? Falke »Bristol« knee socks unite high-quality materials, painstaking production, and classic design to create a versatile wool sock with natural thermoregulation.
Falke’s sophisticated »Bristol« knee socks are made entirely from finely crimped Merino wool. Extremely lightweight and insulating, this pure new wool numbers among the best natural fibres in the world. Said premium wool fibres imbue Falke »Bristol« knee socks with excellent qualities: breathability, temperature regulation, and the ability to absorb foot moisture over the course of the day.
Traditionally, classic ribbed men’s socks end in a cuff. The cuff on these socks is 16 centimetres long—notably longer than average sock cuffs— and has been knit using a right-plaited stitch. As such, this cuff fits perfectly on the foot and leg.
The high-quality whipped seam on Falke’s »Bristol« knee socks is still closed by hand. During this process the sock’s exposed stitch courses are placed on the needle roller by hand as they’re combined, stitch by stitch. This results in a virtually invisible toe seam; cruder toe seams often create uncomfortable pressure points on the foot. Additional reinforcements on wear-prone parts of the »Bristol« knee socks further enhance overall durability and abrasion-resistance.
Incidentally, Falke’s »Bristol« knee socks were the first socks to be given their own name, which revolutionized the traditional world of knitwear. As was the case when it was first introduced to the market, the wool sock, boasting an average shaft length of 50 centimetres, is the perfect choice for the office and official occasions.
Falke »Bristol« knee socks are available in brown, dark blue, dark grey, and black.
